I completely agree with you. In a crow...Anonymous,

I completely agree with you. In a crowded bar, its sometimes downright difficult and near impossible on how to know which customer is truly "next."

My recommendation for anyone in this situation? Have cash in the palm of your hand and make eye contact with the bartender. If the bartender sees the cash, they will know that you are ready to order and wont have to waste time dealing with a credit card.

Also, please make sure that you are truly ready to place your order. Don't grab the bartender's attention only to turn around and ask six of your friends what they want to drink. That will definitely get you skipped over. ;)Cielo Goldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10443900575509757688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924657243156792396.post-343377248891574582011-02-04T20:53:16.794-08:002011-02-04T20:53:16.794-08:00I've agreed with so many of your posts I'm...I've agreed with so many of your posts I'm surprised to be taking issue with this one. I can't begin to count the number of times I've gone to the bar for a drink only to have the bartender serve someone who got there after me. This almost always happens when the place is crowded and I'm not sitting at the bar, but rather standing for a drink to take back to my seat or standing spot. Sometimes this happens with my first drink, sometimes after a few. Whatever the situation, this can have only two possible explanations: either the bartender *doesn't* know who got there first, or the bartender skipped me on purpose. I am never, ever an asshole to anyone who touches my food or drink. If I am ordering a drink, that means I have money not only for the drink, but also for an appropriate tip. What, then, am I to make of this situation, and what method would you suggest as an appropriate method to get noticed by an inattentive or recalcitrant bartender?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924657243156792396.post-11639496520981206502010-06-05T19:52:28.344-07:002010-06-05T19:52:28.344-07:00when people yell hey bartender to me, i ALWAYS rep...when people yell hey bartender to me, i ALWAYS reply with, Yes customer?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924657243156792396.post-14535929075716808602010-04-24T06:54:53.976-07:002010-04-24T06:54:53.976-07:00Glad to see you backGlad to see you backBartender Cabbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05623813045706584212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924657243156792396.post-8439144693171169902010-04-23T11:33:20.128-07:002010-04-23T11:33:20.128-07:00i am continually amazed at the number of people wh...i am continually amazed at the number of people who can walk into a crowded situation, bar or otherwise, and believe they are the only person in the, or at least in your worldchristopherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14760050983800560798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924657243156792396.post-45049853762594428052010-04-22T20:12:52.499-07:002010-04-22T20:12:52.499-07:00ohhhh how I remember those days... my favorite is ...ohhhh how I remember those days... my favorite is "excuuuusssseeee me?" and then they act surprised if you say "yes?"BBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01608708153505596563noreply@blogger.com
